Yet, full of crap in between the saabs. If there was less crap he could fit his car in it!

Just to clarify, 9-4x and 9-5 NG?

Just need to know how much I should hate you.

Of all the boring silver cars there are out there, Saabs do it best. They're the only cars that look good in silver. Mine:

You need to change your name now. You own two SAABs (assuming the car in the back is what I think it is).

yes indeed, both my parent's cars. My 9-3 Aero doesn't fit in the garage because of that junk between the two

I once squeezed my car between the crap and the 9-5 because a huuuuuge storm came in. Before we had all that stuff we fit a 2009 Tundra, 1999 Wrangler, and 2005 SRX. The 9-4x replaced the SRX and the 9-5 replaced the Tundra, my brother still drives his Wrangler but lives with his wife.

I agree. Most sliver cars just look so bland and pedestrian, but the NG 9-5 looks stellar in silver, it stands out in a field of gray just because it looks so darn good.

Haha those are my parent's cars. My car is a 2007 9-3 aero sportcombi, I don't own it though....My dad owns it because, well, because of swim I can't really get a job and buy my own car....but hey it's for sale!

Fair enough. Haha. I know the feeling. Money is this elusive creature that I swear only comes out at night on leap years and only on a full moon.

And yes the car in the back is a 9-4x. Of the 453 produced there are two where I live. My mom saw the other white one driving around and knew it was the car, her '05 SRX was on it's last legs and I mentioned the 9-4x (not knowing how rare they were considering I saw one twice a week). So my dad found one somewhere in Georgia and traded her car. Basically a better driving, better looking, rarer, quirkier, 2010 SRX for 60% off.

Well considering 100% of my time is spent swimming I can't get a job, so my income is right around $0. Although at a meet some dad paid me $10 to count for his kid in the 500 free so maybe I could make enough through highschool to get a nice strut tower brace for my car...maybe....

Sounds like a bargain to me!

It's funny, I've seen more Shelby Cobras, Porsche 962s, and Ferrari 250s (just to name a few) than I've seen 9-4xs.

Haha I took it to my local C&C and put a sheet of paper in the dash saying: "One of 453 made!"

yeah a white crossover got about 1 second look....from me...but hey it was the rarest car there

Man I am more jealous than you can imagine.

Quick question. I've been looking at eventually trading in for a 2011 9-5 Aero. Have your parents had any problems with theirs? As far as regular maintenance/up keep go? Or is there anything they don't like about it?

Only problem my dad has had is the electronic trunk release was a bit wonky for a while. Sometimes it would open at random (the lid wouldn't lift when driving but the catch was released) and other times it wouldn't open by pressing the button. Other than that it has been trouble free. Maintenance isn't an issue for us, we have an exotic car dealership that bought the Saab dealership before they went under and they have done a good job on all maintenance for all three saabs.

As far as liking the car, well I don't, I absolutely love every single thing about it. The seats, the dash, the engine, handling, all of it. I've read that the Aero feels a bit nose heavy but the 2.3t biopower feels nicely balanced. The trunk is black hole sized and rear leg room is more than you could ever need (I'm 6'4" and I fit behind the front seats even when set to my liking).

Gripes: plastic dash, not cheap just kinda hard. The lumbar controls are kinda weird because Sweden. Rear headroom isn't great with the sunroof (Which is huge btw).

Fantastic car and if you do get one you will not be disappointed.
